Elke maand beschrijven nieuwe wetenschappelijke publicaties de resultaten van pijnbestrijding met behulp van elektrotherapie.
Alleen al in jaar 2007 registreerde de Amerikaanse Nationale Medische Bibliotheek 364 belangrijke wetenschappelijke publicaties over het onderwerp ‘de elektrotherapie in de pijnbehandeling’.
Daarvan behandelden 41 publicaties specifiek de behandeling van hoofdpijn.
