Transformed migraine treatment

Following a period of stress and anxiety, or trauma, but more commonly as a result of taking too many painkillers or anti-migraine medications too close together, the condition can become disabling.

This is known as a “transformed migraine”: the frequency and duration of attacks increase to the point that the pain can develop on a daily basis.

Cefaly is particularly useful in this situation. Regular use can help sufferers break free from the vicious circle caused by medications.

The combination of the prevention programme and the pain-killing “attack” programme can rapidly reduce the consumption of painkillers.

The frequency and duration of attacks increase to the point that the pain can develop on a daily basis. Cefaly can in this case be used whenever it is required.

To begin with, use it as a preventative treatment with 2 sessions a day of 20 minutes each using programme 2. The two sessions should ideally be carried out at two separate times of the day (e.g. morning and evening).

Programme 1 can also be used whenever required each time the pain increases in order to help avoid the need to take anti-migraine medication.

The attack programme lasts 20 minutes, although it can be repeated several times in succession. At the end of the twenty-minute session, the intensity reduces gradually over the course of 30 seconds. During this stage, a simple press on the button will immediately start a new twenty-minute session.
